A school nurse provides first aid and health support on both campuses during school hours.
Medication at school
The school and its staff do not prescribe medication. Any proposed use of basic non-prescription medicine for fever or pain must be discussed with the school nurse in advance.
When a child must take prescribed medication during the day, a parent should hand it directly to the designated staff member. The bottle must show the dosage, and the parent must provide clear instructions. Medication is returned at the end of each school day and must be brought back when treatment continues.
Medical emergencies
TWIS works with Frontiers Clinic for emergency support. If a child develops a fever above 38 degrees Celsius, a parent or guardian will be contacted immediately.
When urgent care is needed, the school may take the child to Frontiers Clinic under the supervision of the school nurse. The parent will be asked to meet the child there and continue the care process.

The school nurse is Mrs. Elitha, available at +250 785 547 997. Families should share allergy information, health conditions, and nutrition concerns with the nurse and the class teacher so appropriate precautions can be taken.
When a child is unwell
Rest beds are available on both campuses while a child waits for a parent or a decision about care. However, children who are ill should remain at home whenever possible so they can rest and reduce the spread of illness.
Regular communication between families, teachers, the nurse, and the administration helps the school respond to each child safely.
